Top Skills- Management Abilities and Professional Competences
TOP SKILLS - Training on professional competences for European adult workers is a project aiming to develop and strengthen the soft skills and competences of European professionals through on-line coaching and training, supporting materials and resources.
Working under a partnership agreement, several EU based organisations and companies will be designing top-quality elearning material to be “self-study” and learner centred in their approach, and the best of current on-line coaching, e-learning and mentoring practice will be used in developing and delivering the training.
In economic uncertainty (whether recession or growth) the need for business to be able to respond rapidly and effectively is vital. For this to happen workers must be highly competent professionals who have high “soft skill” levels; able to adapt to ne working practices; become a team player in a new team, work hard at keeping customers, etc.
The principle target group is adult workers and professionals and in addition professional trainers and social workers.
The main result of the project is to be an open curriculum of training of soft skills and information on how-to acquire them, with accompanying training materials ready to be used within a range of employers and training agencies and educational providers. This will be achieved by sharing the knowledge and experiences of partners and making the training and resources available through the project a website. This partnership provides a wide range of expertise and knowledge amongst organizations that have experience in providing soft skills education and professional competences, coaching and e-learning.
The participating institutions will go on carrying out education of management abilities and professional competences after this project. As the project progresses, all new information and materials will be publicly available on this page or on its own website, still to be published. This project is foreseen to be active and ongoing till July 2012.
