Blockchain-Certified Diplomas for EMEDT school

For this new project, we are currently working with EMEDT, an online educational institution committed to innovation and trust, to implement a blockchain-based system for diploma certification. The main objective is to ensure the authenticity of academic achievements, protect students against fraud, and simplify verification for employers and institutions.

1. Digital Document Certification
Every diploma issued by the school will be registered on the Solana blockchain. Instead of storing the entire document on-chain, the system generates a cryptographic hash—a digital fingerprint—that is permanently recorded along with metadata such as the student’s name, program, and graduation date. Diplomas are delivered to students with a QR code or digital link that allows anyone—employers, universities, or recruiters—to instantly verify the authenticity of the certificate.

2. Integration with SAHEL
The SAHEL token will be used to power the certification process. Each registration fee for issuing a diploma is to be paid in SAHEL, keeping costs low and transparent. Additionally, the school is exploring how to use SAHEL as a reward system, granting tokens to graduates for participating in alumni activities, further studies, or educational events—helping build an ongoing relationship between the school and its students.

3. Current Stage
The project is already being piloted with the management team of EMEDT. Diplomas will be registered on Solana and the technical team is testing the verification system with potential employers. The next phase will expand certification to the entire student body, and include integration with the school’s Learning Management System (LMS) so that blockchain registration happens automatically upon course completion.
